To access the virtual environment, the student uses his own computer, according to the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) principle: the student’s PC will not run the software locally, but will display the remote session running on the virtual machines installed in the laboratories of the University IT and Telematic Services (ASIT).
Students can use their own computer: to participate in classroom workshops with the teacher; to carry out exercises at home (or in the study room) without having to access the didactic laboratories at restricted hours; in the learning tests.
This increased participation gives students more authority over their learning and has proved to be an extraordinary tool even in times when access to common spaces is complicated (such as during the COVID-19 pandemic).
